Statistones is an independent public-interest project that publishes source-traced statistics about Nigeria.
Why it exists
Public argument in Nigeria routinely turns on numbers whose origin nobody can produce. A figure enters circulation through a headline, loses its definition and its reference period on the way, and is then used to settle questions it was never measuring. The remedy is not another dashboard. It is a record that keeps the document, the page, the definition and the date attached to the number permanently.
How it is funded
Statistones takes no funding from any body whose data it publishes. Where that changes, the funding relationship will be disclosed on this page and on every affected record before publication.
Reuse
Indicator values belong to their original publishers and carry those publishers' terms. The verification record, the archive metadata and this site's own code and design are ours; cite the original source alongside us.
