- Definition
- Percentage of children under age 5 whose height-for-age is more than two standard deviations below the median of the WHO Child Growth Standards.
- Method
- The NDHS uses a stratified two-stage sample across 36 states and the FCT. Height-for-age estimates use the WHO 2006 Child Growth Standards. This prototype checks the published report and map; survey-weighted microdata reproduction is the next verification tier.
